HISTORY
The War Eagle Mill was originally built by Sylvanus Blackburn in the 1830s. The original mill was swept away by flooding in 1848 and rebuilt soon after. The second mill was burned during the Civil War. The third mill was built by Sylvanus Blackburn’s son JAC Blackburn in 1873 and burned in 1924. The current mill was built in 1973 and includes a general store and café.

Walk from the parking lot to the right of the mill and you will see a marker for the War Eagle Bridge.
